PhilBoxing.com

Jayson Vayson.

Awesome super big break! Filipino Jayson "Striker" Vayson of Brico Santig’s Highland Boxing Gym could not be more thrilled, gearing up for the biggest fight of his life!!

In a fortuitous turn of events, the smiling, polite and friendly, Jayson Vayson has now been scheduled to challenge Puerto Rico’s reigning WBA, WBO, and Ring Magazine minimumweight (105-Lbs) unified world champion Oscar Collazo!!

Yes indeed, Jayson’s fantastic world title challenge will unfold on Saturday, September 20, at the Fantasy Springs Resort Casino in Indio, California, a plush, popular resort about 2 hours drive east of Los Angeles.

Watched LIVE worldwide on DAZN, “Collazo VS Vayson” promises to be an exciting clash between two talented fighters!

The Puerto Rican southpaw wants to defend his belts against Vayson's aggressive style with knockout power.

Meanwhile, our Pinoy challenger will aim to impose his will on his opponent, focusing on landing damaging shots on Collazo, while staying away from danger. Could he do it?

His teammates at Highland Boxing Gym, his family, coach Alan Alegria, paryentes and his many fans all over our blessed country think he can!!! 👍👍

Meet The Fighters

Oscar Collazo: The unified minimumweight world champion from Villalba, Puerto Rico, is known for his precision, skill, and determination.

The 28-year-old Collazo (12-0, 9 KOs), promoted by Miguel Cotto Promotions and Golden Boy Promotions, has held a world title since stopping Melvin Jerusalem in seven rounds two years ago, and has made five title defenses.

Nicknamed in Puerto Rico as “El Pupilo” (The Pupil), Collazo has got wins over Filipinos Vic Saludar, Garen Diagan and Melvin Jerusalem.

But Vayson is not an easy fish AT ALL. He is a fighter of high class and skills, and is preparing well in the beautiful, fresh and blessed highlands of Baguio.

Thru the years, the soft-spoken and friendly Jayson Vayson (14-1-1, 8 KOs), has proven to be a fighter of quality, heart of a lion and power!

The 27-year-old Vayson, promoted by Highland Boxing Promotions, who comes from beautiful Veruela in Agusan del Sur, has battled tough warriors in Indonesia, the Philippines, Japan and Thailand performing very well.

That’s why Vayson is currently ranked by all four major sanctioning bodies among the very best in the world, and he is even the highest-ranked 108 lbs boxer in the IBF.

Interestingly, Jayson Vayson was already wanting an exciting match against Boholano star Rene Suganob (16-1, 6 KOs), for a thrilling show in paradisiacal and sunny Bohol!

That would have been a thrilling, interesting battle, diba? But will not happen next as Vayson and his team wanted.

How to say no to the chance of fighting this Puerto Rican unified world champion Oscar Collazo for a much higher purse for the WBO/WBA world titles as the main event in a Golden Boy Promotion in the United States live on DAZN?

It’s a once in a lifetime opportunity! The chance of becoming a champion of the world.
