José Sulaimán Honored as New Gym Inaugurated in México State

A new gym, dedicated to the memory of the legendary world boxing leader and WBC President for Life, Don José Sulaimán, has been inaugurated in México State. This facility aims to combat addiction in young people and empower them to achieve their goals within the realm of sports. Emilio López will serve as the general manager of the newly established José Sulaimán Chagnón Gym.
The three-story gym is fully dedicated to boxing training and includes residential facilities, offering a comprehensive environment for aspiring athletes.
WBC President Mauricio Sulaimán expressed his profound satisfaction at the gym's opening. "I cannot thank you enough for the effort being made to recognize the need to provide a dignified place for those seeking to change their lives," he stated, highlighting the gym's crucial social mission.
During the inauguration ceremony, the book "The Science of Boxing: Building Champions," authored by Rodrigo Merlo, was officially presented. This publication delves into the scientific principles underpinning effective boxing training.
The event also featured special recognitions, concluding the "Tuesday Coffee" celebrations. Honors were bestowed upon a distinguished roster of world champions, including: Alfonso Zamora, Barby Juárez, Erika Cruz, Carlos "Cañas" Zárate, Alan "Rey Picasso," Kika Chávez, José Antonio "Jaguar" Aguirre, Miguel Ángel González, Yessica "Nery" Plata, Lupita Martínez, Zulina Muñoz, Ganigan López, Pipino Cuevas, César Bazán, Anabel “Avispa” Ortiz, Carlos Cuadras, Marco Antonio “Barreta” Barrera, Erik Ortiz, Jackie Nava, Judith “Peligrosa” Rodríguez, and Lourdes “Little Lulu” Juárez.
