SALITA PROMOTIONS SIGNS REIGNING WBC SUPER MIDDLEWEIGHT CHAMPION FRANCHÓN CREWS-DEZURN TO A MULTI-FIGHT DEAL

PhilBoxing.com

DETROIT (April 10, 2025) – Salita Promotions has announced the signing of reigning world champion Franchón Crews-Dezurn to a multi-fight deal. The highly decorated amateur and stellar pro boxer out of Baltimore, joins Salita Promotions’ unmatched roster of female champions and rising contenders. Crews-Dezurn is the sixth new fighter to sign to the company in five months.

The signing of the Virginia Beach, Va., native Crews-Dezurn (9-2, 2 KOs) comes on the heels of defeating Shadasia Green for the vacant WBC Super Middleweight world title, giving Green her first loss. The first women’s fighter to become the Undisputed Super Middleweight World Champion, Crews-Dezurn boasts a highly accomplished amateur career. Crews-Dezurn secured a silver medal at the 2012 AIBA Women’s World Boxing Championships and achieved four gold medals at the Pan American Championships (2006, 2007, 2008, 2012). A multi-faceted force in combat sports, 37-year-old Crews-Dezurn is a former Muay Thai champion and has only come up short against some of the greatest women’s fighters of all time, including a controversial decision loss to Olympic gold medalist Savannah Marshall in front of Marshall’s home country of the United Kingdom.

Crews-Dezurn has been highly ranked since the start of her pro boxing career and has competed for world titles in over half of her fights.

Managed by Peter Kahn and training out of Baltimore, Crews-Dezurn brings a unique blend of athleticism, experience, and charisma to the Salita Promotions roster as she continues her mission to regain her Undisputed crown and solidify her legacy in women’s boxing.

Salita Promotions has long been boxing’s leading promotional company for women’s boxing. Guided by Dmitriy Salita since her second professional fight, Claressa Shields has become the most accomplished women’s boxer of all time. The newly crowned and first women’s Undisputed Heavyweight Champion Shields is the leading lady on a roster that includes P.R. Olympian Ashleyann Lozada, Montreal’s Carolyn Veyre and undefeated women’s super lightweight Samantha Worthington.

“Franchón Crews-Dezurn is one of the best boxers in the world—strong, resilient, hardworking, and unapologetic, all while carrying herself with class and finesse,” said President of Salita Promotions Dmitriy Salita. “Her incredible journey embodies the true spirit of sports: an American-born athlete whose multi-talented success continues to inspire generations. I look forward to sensational performances and many world title fights ahead from this great champion. Stay tuned as Crews-Dezurn prepares for her promotional debut!”

Salita Promotions promoted Shields vs. Marshall, where Shields became the Undisputed Middleweight World Champion. In addition, this event marked the most-watched women’s boxing event ever at the time and the most watched women’s sporting event on the UK’s leading sports streaming service, Sky Sports.

Crews-Dezurn said, “I am thrilled to be signed with Salita Promotions. Dmitriy Salita and his team have proven to be trailblazers in women’s boxing, and their commitment to spotlight women is unmatched. Under the Salita Promotions banner, there is no shortage of exciting fights that await me in my pursuit to become the undisputed champion again.”
