IBA Youth World Boxing Championships in Budva saw transparent Draw ceremony

Budva, Montenegro – The official Technical Draw of the IBA Youth World Boxing Championships took place in Budva today with representatives of all 73 teams present. The draw was conducted manually to ensure maximum transparency and integrity.
Total number of 593 boxers, 180 youth women and 413 youth men, are participating in the event.
Representatives of the host National Federation Dragoljub Radovic said, ‘On a special request of IBA President Umar Kremlev and Montenegro Boxing Association, we conducted a manual draw today. It is because we want to have clean boxing in all its aspects, and the draw is a very important part of it. From the draw, and especially in refereeing and judging perspective, we will do our best to ensure clean boxing.’
The speech was received with applauses.
The competitions start tomorrow, on 23 October, with three sessions per day until the quarterfinals that are scheduled on 29-30 October with two sessions. Semi-finals are scheduled on October 31 at 14:00 and 18:00 CET, and the finals will take place on two days, 2 and 3 November, both start at 16:00 CET.
