JUN PADERNA?S FIGHT IN AUSTRALIA ON ?THE MAIN EVENT?
By Ronnie Nathanielsz PhilBoxing.com Fri, 06 Jun 2008
The battle between Jun ?The Neutralizer? Paderna and highly-touted Australian lightweight Lincoln Stewart will be featured on the top-rated weekly boxing show ?The Main Event? on June 8 at 9:00 p.m. over IBC 13 with a replay on Viva Prime on Sunday at 10:00 p.m. sponsored by Tanduay, the No.1 Rhum and PAGCOR.
The show will also carry a special feature on International Boxing Federation minimum weight champion Florante Condes? courtesy call on Vice President Noli De Castro plus interviews with the Vice President and Condes.
?The Main Event? will include a short feature on two-time world title challenger Dommy Ursua who died penniless in Cordova, Cebu last week plus an interview with his wife Rosita.
The Paderna-Stewart fight was part of a highly successful promotion of well-known promoter and TV boxing show host Peter Maniatis at the Malvern Town Hall in Melbourne.
Maniatis who was named "Promoter of the Year" in 2006-2007 will provide Viva Sports with the fights of Filipinos on his fight cards so that fight fans in the Philippines can see them in action on "The Main Event."
One aspect of the Peter Maniatis promotion will surely be the tall, attractive round girls on the show.
