Legends Collide: Manny Pacquiao and Erik Morales Re-Connect
PhilBoxing.com Thu, 04 Jul 2019

Old rivals Manny Pacquiao and Erik Morales catch up ahead of Pacquiao's anticipated 147-pound showdown versus WBA Super World Welterweight Champion Keith Thurman Saturday, July 20 on FOX PPV.
They fought three times inside the ring, now they?re fighting for their people outside of it.
Boxing legend turned Mexican Congressman Erik ?El Terrible? Morales dropped by Los Angeles to catch up with his old fistic rival, Manny Pacquiao. Pacquiao, the former eight-division world champion and current Senator from the Philippines, is winding down training camp for his 147-pound showdown versus WBA Super World Welterweight Champion Keith ?One Time? Thurman Saturday, July 20 at MGM Grand in Las Vegas.
Pacquiao posted a phot of their sit-down on Instagram with the following caption: ?Great to see my good friend Erik Morales.
"#MoralesPacquiao4 This guy was a warrior in the ring.?
This fourth encounter wasn?t anything like their first three. It began back in March 2005, when Morales stunned heavy-favorite Pacquiao with a unanimous decision win. Pacquiao would win their subsequent encounters; a 10th-round TKO victory in January 2006, followed by a third-round stoppage win in November of that year.
Nearly 13 years later, Pacquiao is still going strong. He returned to the ring last January with an emphatic 12-round unanimous decision win over Adrien Broner. The undefeated Thurman (29-0, 22 KOs), is hungry to claim the torch he believes Pacquiao has held on to for too long. But the fighting Senator has repeatedly stated that it isn?t his time to hang up the gloves. We?re just days away from finding out.
Pacquiao-Thurman headlines a stacked card that will be broadcast via PBC on FOX PPV (9 p.m. ET/6 p.m. PT).
