FOUR WKN CHAMPIONS CROWNED IN NICE

PhilBoxing.com

Ardissone Nice Full Contact

The World Kickboxing Network returned to French Riviera with the four-fight championship card held at the Salle Leyrit in Nice, France on June 15. The event featured the representatives of the country-host up against international opponents, battling it out for WKN World and European titles.

Making his first defense of WKN World Bantamweight title local star Jerome Ardissone faced off Emidio Molinari of Italy. The scheduled for twelve rounds bout in Full Contact (kicks and punches above the waist) didn't go the distance. The Italian challenger took the win by TKO in the sixth-round and became a new champion in the division after the corner of his opponent threw in the towel.

The reigning WKN World Super Lightweight champion in Full Contact Kamel Jebir took on Slovakian Michal Duben. Making his first title defense in front of the home crowd he successfully defended the belt by TKO in Round 4.

Jonathan Pastorino and Keith Azzopardi battled it out for a vacant WKN World Featherweight title. After twelve rounds of Full Contact the guest from Malta claimed the strap by a unanimous decision.

Heavyweight Anthony Leroy squared off against Fedor Koltun of Belarus in the WKN European title bout. The scheduled for five rounds contest in oriental kickboxing ended prior to the final bell. The Belarusian competitor earned the belt by way of knockout in Round 3.

The four-fight main card followed the undercard comprising six amateur matchups. The complete results from Ardissone Nice Full Contact can be found below.
