FORMER LAKER MICHAEL COOPER VISITS PACMAN

Los Angeles native Michael Cooper (R), who won five NBA world championships as a member of the Showtime Lakers in the 1980s, visited Filipino boxing legend Manny Pacqiao Sunday night at Pacquiao's residence in Los Angeles. Cooper is one of the many celebrities who dropped by to see the Filipino fighting senator who is currently training in Los Angeles for his upcoming fight against four-division world champion Adrien Broner of the United States on Jan. 19 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. Pacquiao will defend his WBA welterweight title against Broner, a title he won from Argentine Lucas Matthysse in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia last July.
