CANELO DROPS ROCKY FOUR TIMES EN ROUTE TO A 3rd ROUND TKO WIN

Mexican superstar Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez showed he is on a different level when he demolished British super middleweight champion Rocky Fielding over three rounds at the Madison Square Garden Arena in New York Saturday night (Sunday in Manila) making history by becoming the ninth Mexican fighter to win world titles in three weight divisions.
Canelo who is coming from a hard 24-round fight against former pound for pound fighter Gennady Golovkin, dropped Fielding with a body shot in round one and and repeated the feat in round two before sending the British again to the canvas with a right to the head in round three. The brave Fielding got up from each of the first three knockdowns but another body shot by Canelo later in round three sent Fielding against to the canvas with a knee. Referee Ricky Gonzalez, seeing enough punishment absorbed by the British fighter, immediately waved off the fight.
Canelo has now improved to 51-1-2 with 35 KOs while Fielding suffered his second defeat and dropped to 27-2-0, 15KOs.
