Kevin Durant was huge in both wins. The former league MVP had 32 points against the Blazers before exploding for 44 against the gallant Kings. Klay Thompson provided ample support as well, netting 62 points in the twin victories as the Warriors moved up to 14-7, second overall in the Western Conference and just a game behind the surprisingly good Los Angeles Clippers (13-6). Damian Lillard had 23 for the Blazers. Despite the debacle, Portland remains a robust 12-8, sixth place in the crowded West, Buddy Hield, meanwhile, accounted for 28 for the Kings, who dropped to 10-10, tied with the New Orleans Pelicans for the eighth spot.
