SUPERFLY 3 UNDERCARD RESULTS: ESCALANTE, HAWTON LOSE BY SPLIT DECISIONS PhilBoxing.com Sun, 09 Sep 2018  Cebu's Bruno Escalante and Fil-Australian Louisa Hawton each lost their bout by split decision on the undercard of Superfly 3 boxing event at The Forum in Ingglewood, CA Saturday night (Sunday morning in Manila). Escalante lost to unbeaten Alexandru Martin of Romania while Hawton bowed down to Brenda Flores of Mexico. Martin captured the IBF Inter-Continental super flyweight title. Tom Loeffler's 360 Promotions 'Superfly 3' boxing event now ongoing at The Forum is being headlined by Juan Francisco Estrada vs Felipe and the WBO world superfly title fight between Donnie Nietes against Aston Palicte. Opening the HBO telecast is the fight between Kazuto Ioka vs McWilliams Arroyo for the WBC Silver super flyweight title. Coming up next are the HBO televised fights. Bruno Escalante (L) loses to the taller and undefeated Romanian Alexandru Martin. 10 round for the vacant IBF Inter-Continental super flyweight title Alexandru Marin (17-0-0, 11KOs) of Iasi, Romania wins by split decision over Bruno Escalante (17-4-1, 7KOs) of Cebu, Philippines. Scores: 98-92, 96-94, 93-97. 
Brenda Flores (R) duke it out with Louisa Hawton. Brenda Flores (13-4-1, 2KOs) of Tijuana, Mexico wins by split decision over Fil-Australian Louisa Hawton (8-2-0, 4KOs) of Perth, Austalia in their 10 rounds Atomweight contest. Scores were 97-93, 96-94 and 93-97. Mario Ramos (6-0-0, 6KOs) of San Diego, CA knocks out Alex Solorio (4-4-0, 1KO) of San Quintin, Mexico in the 3rd round. Joselito Velasquez (6-0-0, 5KOs) of Cancun, Mexico wins by unanimous decision over Jose Alfredo Flores Chanez (6-7-0, 3KOs) of Tijuana, Mexico Jonathan Esquivel (7-0-0, 7KOs) of Anaheim, CA knocks out Joan Jose Valenzuela (5-10-1, 5KOs) of Bakersfield, CA in the first round.  |
