PhilBoxing.com Sat, 08 Sep 2018

WBA Interim Bantamweight World Champion Reymart Gaballo (W19 KO16 L0 D0) will be facing Tanzanian fighter Julias Kisarawe (W29 KO15 L6 D1) on September 30, 2018 at the SM Skydome in Quezon City. The fight will be televised live via ESPN 5 from 1 to 3 PM.
Gaballo has been training hard at the Sanman Gym in General Santos City and sparred with former world champion Marlon Tapales who also fights on the same card. His training camp commenced a month ago and will continue up to fight day.
Marlon Tapales has been giving Gaballo a tough time at training camp. Tapales is the more experienced fighter and is know or his power and tough chin. ?I am sparring with Gaballo in a way that it?s like the actual fight. I am giving him a hard time in order for his actual fight to be easy when it happens?, Tapales said.
?I?ve been working hard everyday at my training camp. I am the champion and much is expected from me. I cannot fail my countrymen in this fight at home and live on national television. Kisarawe is hungry and will come at me with everything in order to increase his ranking. But I won?t let him do that. I will be at my 100% shape come fight day. I will do my best to give an entertaining fight?, Gaballo stated.
Gaballo wrestled the championship belt from then undefeated American Stephon Young whom he knocked down in round three and dominated the remaining rounds earning him a unanimous decision victory.
