NBA -- Can the new look Clips make a playoffs push?
By Alvin Buensuceso PhilBoxing.com Wed, 05 Sep 2018

LOS ANGELES -- After losing Chris Paul to the Houston Rockets via free agency and Blake Griffin to the Detroit Pistons via blockbuster trade one after another last season, the Los Angeles Clippers have continued to bleed talent this off-season.
Center DeAndre Jordan is gone now after choosing the Dallas Mavericks in free agency. Austin Rivers is gone, too, traded to the Washington Wizards. Sam Dekker and CJ Williams have departed as well for the Cleveland Cavaliers and the Minnesota Timberwolves respectively.
The severe loss of manpower leaves the Clippers with new faces to compete in the powerhouse Western Conference.
Former Wizards Avery Bradley and Marcin Gortat now leads the cast alongside Danilo Gallinari and his $21.5 million salary. The Clips also have veterans Patrick Beverley,a proven defensive gem, Tobias Harris and the explosive Lou Williams, a two-time Sixth Man of the Year awardee.
Rounding up the Clippers are Boban Marjanovic, Milos Teodosic, Wesley Johnson, Montrezl Harrell, Mike Scott and Luc Mbah A Moute.
Even without the star power of CP3 and the high-flying Griffin, who briefly made the Clippers the main basketball attraction in Los Angeles over the Lakers for a few seasons, the new-look Clippers are a decent group that can score, play reasonably good defense,
The question is: Is it enough to make the playoffs?
