Andales Wins LUZPROBA-105 Belt in Bacoor, Cavite By Carlos Costa PhilBoxing.com Mon, 03 Sep 2018 In an exciting battle, unbeaten young Warai warrior ArAr "Asero" Andales (7-0, 1 KO) of the Quibors Boxing Stable, captured the LUZPROBA Minimmweight belt by scoring an 8-round majority decision win over tough and game 18 year-old Jonathan "Pretty Boy" Almacen (4-2-2, 1 KO) of Muntinlupa, Metro Manila, in the main event of the entertaining boxing show staged Sunday evening (Sep 2) at Quibors Boxing Gym in Bacoor, Cavite. The fast action unfolded mainly in the middle of the ring with both boxers throwing power punches from the get go. Almacen wearing yellow trunks used his left jab and landed with his straight right and left uppercut while the aggressive Andales kept pressing forward while swinging wild and hard throughout the highly enjoyable match; and many fans would not mind coming back for a rematch. Both boxers showcased quite acceptable fighting skills as their thrown combinations carried precision and strength. Andales and Almacen also evidenced warrior's heart and commitment to boxing, winning the hearts of the fans in attendance. At the end, the referee Oliver Garcia raised the hand of the 18 year-old Ar Ar Andales, the righteous winner and one of the popular boxers of the Quibors Stable. In the equally exciting co-main event, Cebuano 105-pounder Ariston Aton (7-0, 4 KO's) kept his unbeaten record intact after outpointing Jestoni "Eagle" Racoma (6-4-1, 2 KO's) of the Pound4Pound Gym in Antipolo. The unanimous decision win was the 7th straight victory for the promising 19 year-old Ariston Aton, born in Lapu Lapu. The third man in charge of the 8-rounder was the experienced Virgilio Garcia of Quezon City. In another rumble, Cagayan de Oro Jr. Flyweight fighter Francis Jay Diaz (6-1-1, 1 KO) of the Quibors Stable scored a 5th round stoppage win over Camarines boxer Alvin Dafeo (2-6-2, 0 KO's) of the Elorde Pegasus Gym. In Featherweights, heavy-handed Rustom Doronio (3-1, 3 KO's) of the Quibors Gym needed exactly 85 seconds to stop 22 year-old Negros Occidental "Dragon" Kenneth Neron (1-3-1, 0 KO's) of the Berwela Stable. It was another exciting stoppage win for the 19 year-old Doronio who presses forward in his young boxing career; and fans want to see Doronio against tougher opponents. The referee in charge was again the impeccable Virgilio Garcia. For the first bout of evening, super flyweight debutant Ron Mitra and Zamboangue?o Mark Jequinto (1-2-1, 0 KO's) of the Berwela Gym battled to a four-round majority draw. The third man in the ring was Elmer Costillas of Bulacan. The evening of boxing in Bacoor, Cavite, was another successful promotion of enthusiastic, active promoters Joseph Quibral, Gerry Galmes and Orlando Borcelango.
