TOP-RANKED HEAVYWEIGHTS NGANNOU AND BLAYDES COLLIDE TO HEADLINE UFC BEIJING ON SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 24

PhilBoxing.com

BEIJING, CHINA ? UFC? today confirmed its first-ever event in Beijing, China, will be headlined by top-tier heavyweights, with both men eagerly planning to use this matchup to enter the title contention zone. In a highly anticipated rematch between no. 4-ranked heavyweight Francis Ngannou (11-3, fighting out of Las Vegas, USA) and no. 3-ranked Curtis Blaydes (10-1, fighting out of Chicago, USA), these two standout competitors will be looking to make a statement on Saturday, November 24 at the Cadillac Arena. Tickets for UFC FIGHT NIGHT? BEIJING: NGANNOU vs. BLAYDES, Presented by General Tire, are on-sale now via Damai.cn and 247tickets.com.

This will be the second time that ?The Predator? Ngannou and ?Razor? Blaydes meet inside the world-famous Octagon?, with their first fight ending with Ngannou, a native of Cameroon capturing the victory by TKO after the second round in April 2016. Since this win, Ngannou has decisively won four of his last six fights, with three knockouts and one submission, all in the first round.

Two years later, Blaydes has gone on to defeat heavyweight legends including Mark Hunt and former Strikeforce? heavyweight champion and interim DREAM heavyweight champion Alistair Overeem. With a four-fight winning streak powering him, the Chicago standout will be looking to continue his rise to the top and potentially earn his place in front of heavyweight champion and UFC light heavyweight champion Daniel Cormier.

?After our sellout debut in Shanghai last November, we are thrilled to host our second event in Mainland China,? UFC VP of Asia Pacific Kevin Chang said. ?Our main event features two top ranked heavyweights with huge title implications, and together with our rising Chinese stars, UFC Fight Night Beijing on November 24th will be a night to remember.?

UFC is working together with Endeavor China, a subsidiary of Endeavor, to deliver the live event.

?Endeavor China is excited to once again bring UFC - the world?s premier professional MMA organization - to Chinese audiences. After the great success of last year?s event in Shanghai, we are happy to announce that this year?s UFC Fight Night event will take place in the country?s capital, Beijing,? said Michael Ma, Endeavor China CEO. He continued, ?MMA?s popularity is quickly rising in China, and we look forward to bringing our growing fanbase the best that UFC has to offer.?

Fans in China will be given a night to remember as the heavyweight stars lead an international card of skilled mixed martial artists. Each athlete will demonstrate their abilities and eagerness to impress the Beijing crowd and UFC fans around the world.

UFC FIGHT NIGHT? BEIJING: NGANNOU vs. BLAYDES, Presented by General Tire also includes the following matchups. Bouts are subject to change:

? Chinese heavyvweight prospect Yaozhong Hu (3-1, fighting out of Beijing, China) meets knockout artist Rashad Coulter (8-4, fighting out of Dallas, , USA)

? In a women?s flyweight showdown, well-rounded Yanan Wu (9-2, fighting out of Xi?an, China) faces Shana Dobson (3-3, fighting out of Fort Worth, USA)
