Brawl at the Mall 11: Sobirov vs Padua and More July 29 @ Robinsons Gensan

PhilBoxing.com

Sanman Promotions is set to showcase "Brawl at the Mall 11," another exciting boxing card in the beautiful city named after Filipino Army General Paulino Santos, General Santos City.

The event will feature exciting clashes between action-packed boxers; including unbeaten fighters from the Central-Asian Republic of Uzbekistan pitted against proven Filipino warriors.

In the main event, unbeaten Uzbekistan super welterweight Ulugbek Sobirov (5-0, 3 KO's) will exchange heavy artillery against "Fearless" Filipino former GAB Welterweight titlist Dennis Padua of Nueva Ecija in a rough 10-rounder dangerous battle.

Sobirov.

The action-pressing Sobirov comes from a knockout win in his native country last May; while Padua arrives from a loss in his fight in India.

The Filipino Padua has by far much more ring experienced that the 19 year-old Uzbek; and the fight could be a risky business for the visiting brawler.

Who will prevail....the young brawler from Uzbekistan.... or the more ring savvy, battle-tested Filipino warrior?

Fans have to be there to find out.

The co-main event will see a second Uzbek gladiator in action, Jasur Akhmadjonov (5-0, 3 KO's), engaging in an 10-rounder tough encounter against the reigning VIZPROBA champion Rodel Wenceslao.

In his last combat, Akhmadjonov, 22, outclassed Indonesian journeyman Stevie Ferdinandus; while the Leyte-born Wenceslao, 25, claimed the Visayas title last May in Bohol.

The Uzbek fighters are handled by Malaysian promoter Vikram Swapragasam of Vladimir Boxing in Kuala Lumpur.

MORE EXCITING FIGHTS READY TO THRILL FANS

In addition to the two international bouts, seven more thrilling bouts will excite fans at Robinsons Place Gensan.

The undefeated, popular, hard-hitting Jade Bornea (11-0, 7 KO's) of the Sanman Boxing Stable will lock horns against the more matured Alvin Bais of Surallah, Cotabato del Sur, in an 8-rounder rumble in the 118-pound division.

Bornea.

In another duel, undefeated Gensan fighter Jerven Mama (5-0-1, 3 KO's) squares off the talented Rey Tagulaylay (6-1, 2 KO's) in a hot 8-rounder flyweight match. A boxing fan in social media summed it up this fight like this "Mama vs. Tagulaylay gwapo nga match. Parihas, former national players oi."

Plus, Jerry Francisco (4-0, 1 KO) of Antipas, Cotabato, engages 23 year-old Davao combatant Gerald Alvarez (4-4, 4 KO) at a contracted weight-limit of 109 pounds. Eight rounds of action. Not an easy fight.

In a skirmish of veteran southpaw warriors, 2-time world-title challenger Richie "Magnum" Mepranum (32-7-1, 9 KO's) of Sarangani climbs the ring for former PBF titlist Jetly Purisima in an 8-rounder in the super flyweight division.

Moreover, Gensan boy Adam Diu Abdulhamid (11-6, 4 KO's) fights Eric Macas of Lanao del Norte in a 6-rounder in the super lightweight division.

Furthermore, unbeaten Judy Flores (3-0, 0 KO's) of Davao del Norte collides against veteran Jessie James Boyles (3-16-2, 3 KO's) in a heated 6-rounder in the super flyweight division.

The southpaw Boyles, 27, hasn't been winning, but he is an experienced boxer. The action could be a tough job for the 19 year-old Flores, who is still a newcomer in the sport of boxing.

Who will leave the square ring victorious, the young gun or the more experienced warrior?

In the first bout of the card, fans will see rookie Presco Carcosia making his pro debut in boxing by battling Rey John "Jadry" Indita (1-4-1, 1 KO). Their four round rumble is in the 126-pound division; and may the best man win.

Brawl at the Mall 11" on Sunday July 29 is a production of young promoters Jim Claude Manangquil and Dexter T. Tan of SANMAN Promotions in association with Robinsons Place Gensan.
