BANGKOK, Kingdom of Thailand -- Filipino promoter Brico Santig of Highland Boxing scored yet another fighting success by staging another thrilling event featuring action boxers from across Asia Sunday evening (July 8) at Ram 100 Boxing Stadium in the touristic area of Ramkamhaeng here in Bangkok, Kingdom of Thailand.

In the evening's main event, hard-hitting Japanese bantamweight Yuya Nakamura (8-1, 6 KO's) (above photo) brutalized Thai opponent Pongpasin Chulerd via effective third round KO win.

Nakamura, 28, allowed his younger opponent to grow confident during the first two chapters before crushing him with one powerful 3-blow combination to the head that knocked Chulerd out flat on his back. The official time was 1:40 minute in round 3. The third man was the Phanu Kusolwong.

The co-main event saw Filipina minimumweight fighter Jesebelle Pagaduan (10-1, 4 KO's) of the Summer Capital of the Philippines, Baguio, making good use of her superior boxing skills to outclass tough Thai lady warrior Saranyaphong Theinthong for a 6-rounder unanimous decision win. Josebelle was assisted in her corner by Filipino coach Toto Banarez.

The evening of fights did not go without a boxing surprise as heavy underdog flyweight Detnarong Omkrathok (2-9, 1 KO) climbed the ring to defeat the very confident, but ineffective Ryo Hashiya (2-1, 2 KO's) of Osaka, Japan.

The Thai winner Omkrathok, 24, boxed well landing from a distance while the hard-swinging Ryo Hashiya put his chips on a one-power-punch that never came.

In another war, unbeaten Chinese welterweight Zhen Li (3-0, 3 KO's) of Shenzhen demolished brave Thai debutant Visut Tamkhuntod for a TKO win. Official time of stoppage was 19 seconds in round 3. The referee was Wichan Thongbai. Zhen Li was assisted in his red corner by Filipino former WBA world champion Drian Francisco.

Indian Fight Girl Urvashi Singh (3-0, 3 KO's) of New Delhi Scores Stoppage win in Thailand.

In another girls fight, 23 year-old Indian power lady Urvashi Singh (3-0, 3 KO's) of New Delhi employed her more advanced boxing resources to clearly dominated the strong, more experienced Sumalee Tongpootorn who never stopped coming forward, but with zero success as the Indian boxer Urvashi moved effectively while throwing telling punches.

The end came as brave Thai girl Sumalee suffered a cut on her left eyebrow, prompting the ring doctor Jirasak Bubpachart to recommend third man Phanu Kusolwong, 32, the stoppage to protect the boxer's eye, making Urvashi a winner by TKO in round 6.

Scores at the time of stoppage were identical 50-45 for Urvashi whose next fight will be her native India. Urvashi is trained by coach Roshan, Indian Boxing National coach.

In yet another girls battle, cute 17 year-old Thai fighting machine Sumanthar Baenkham outpointed fellow Thai warrior Supawadee Kabounram in a six-stanza clash in the super featherweight division. Identical scores of 58-56 were rendered making the Thai Sumanthar the clear winner by unanimous decision; and the Thai fighting girl wants more action.

In a quick brutal knock out, 20 year-old featherweight warrior Fateh Singh (2-2-, 1 KO) born in Gautan Budh Nagar, India, needed only 37 seconds to viciously victimized young Danai Wasan, 17, of Bangkok for a round 1 effective KO. The man in charge was Chumpol Intayot.

In another thunderous knock out, aggressive super welterweight Muzafar Khan (3-0, 3 KO's) of Peshawar, Pakistan, came out swinging rough to brutally overpower veteran former muay thai combatant Pinai Wongbutsri of Sa Kaeo, Thailand. Time of the KO was 45 seconds in round 1.

The third man controlling actions was Phanu Kusolwong.

Several thrilling Muay Thai combats completed the exciting evening of fights at Ram 100 Boxing Stadium, a production of Filipino promoter Brico Santig.

In attendance at ringside was Thailand's boxing patron Naris Singwancha; as well as Thai boxing promoter Supanat Chanram.

The supervisor for all fights was Royal Thai Army Coronel Damrong Simakajornboon of the WBC Asian Boxing Council.
