ARROYO, SULAIMAN FORMALLY OPEN WBC CONVENTION!

MANILA--Philippine President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo has just personally graced the formal opening of the 45th Annual WBC Convention here minutes ago at the historic Manila Hotel.
Don Jose Sulaiman, accompanied by Manila Mayor Alfredo Lim and GAB Chairman Eric Buhain, formally opened the convention, with WBC Emeritus heavyweight champion Vitali Klitschko and Filipino icon Manny Pacquiao.
The WBC, through Sulaiman, also presented a WBC belt to Pres. Arroyo, whom Mayor Lim described as "a champion in her own right" in the political arena.
Sulaiman, in his speech, proposed the creation of a WBC boxing gym in the Philippines through the leadership of Pacquiao.
