NBA -- Pinoys storm The Q to witness Game 3 By Rex Alba PhilBoxing.com Mon, 07 May 2018 ![]() CLEVELAND. It's no secret that we Filipinos love our basketball. So it was no surprise that several Filipinos were sent to the Quicken Loans Arena to witness Game 3 of the Eastern Conference semifinals between the host Cleveland Cavaliers and the Toronto Raptors on Saurday night. Eric Ramos, who migrated to the United States from Pansanjan, Laguna way back in 1969, traveled with friends fron San Frisco to downtown Cleveland. He paid $250 for his seat at level 110 and it was worth every penny as LeBron James scored a stunning buzzer-beater to help the Cavs beat the Raptors, 105-103. I'm very excited to watch the best player in the planet in the semifinals. ""We are going to win tonight and after that we are going we are going to sweep the Raptors. The Cavs will xocred over 100 points while the Raptors will score in the 90s," ERic told PhilBoxing.com. Sherwin Escoton, along with a pretty partner, came all the way from Koronadal City, South Cotabato to visit The Q. Asked who his favorite player is, Sherwin was unbendingly loyal. "Sino pa ba? Siyempre si LBJ (Whol else? LeBron James), he told PhilBoxing.com On a tourist visa while visiting New, York, LA and San Francisco, Escoton, who paid $290 for a ticket at Section C, said "Filipinos are so fanatic and are very supportive on the teans they root for." Amen. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Ferdimac Emmanuel Q. Manansala of Makati City works as a doctor at St. Luke's Hospital (occupational medicine), but on this night he was just one of the 20,562 fans who worship Cavaliers basketball at the Q. While on break from studying to take the pharmacy licensure exam Dr. Ferdimac drove two hours from Columbus, Ohio to downtown Cleveland to watch the game with his brother Emmanuel Manansala, whos is in the IT business. They sat at Section 231 and paid a cool $100 each for their tickets. "The Cavs will win this one for sure," Emmanuel said prior to tip-off. He also added that Cleveland will go "straight to the NBA Finals, no doubt." Click here to view a list of other articles written by Rex Alba. ![]() |
