NBA -- Wizards take Game 4 to tie Raptors series at 2-2
By Paolo Catapang PhilBoxing.com Mon, 23 Apr 2018

WASHINGTON -- With their season on the line and trailing 94-92 with 4:37 left to play, the Washington Wizards stunned the Toronto Raptors with a 14-4 run to capture Game 4 on Sunday night at the Verizon Center.
The suspenseful come-from-behind win, which was witnessed by a capacity crowd of 18,277 fans at the Capital One Arena, tied the best-of-seven Eastern Conference quarterfinals at 2-2. Game 5 is Wednesday night (Thursday AM Philippines time) at the Air Canada Centre in Toronto.
Bradley Beal ignited the Wizards offense with 31 points on 5-of-7 shooting from behind the 3-point arc. When Beal fouled out with 4:58 left in the final stanza, John Wall took over and poured 10 of his 27 points in the homestretch. Wall also had 14 assists and six rebounds in yet another clutch performance that cemented his reputation as a perennial All-Star.
While Washington's 1-2 punch of Wall and Beal delivered, so did a willing and able support cast. Otto Porter and Marcin Gortat each had 12 points with Gortat grabbing six boards. Kelly Oubre Jr added 10 points for Washington, which made 39 of 85 field goals (45.9 percent) and hit 7-of-17 from the 3-point arc (41.2 percent).
DeMar DeRozan topscored for Toronto with 35 points, but the All-Star guard missed 19 of 29 field goals. Kyle Lowry registered 19 points and five dimes while Jonas Valanciunas had 11. Jakod Poeltl chipped in 10.
It was a disappointing loss for Toronto, which built a 51-40 halftime lead. The Raptors are 0-4 in games when they are leading 2-1. The franchise had never taken a 3-1 series lead in its history.
