Is McGregor Finally Leading Towards Bare Knuckle Boxing?

Following the actions of Conor McGregor at the Barclays Center Thursday, there have been several speculations as to the motives behinds the incident which followed the media event.
While many feel it was either a publicity stunt to get more attentive and help him re-emerge into the spotlight, or a jab at Dana White and the UFC, or possibly a mix of both, there has been some word spoken that it was McGregor?s way of ending his ties with the organization as well as the MMA business and move over to the newly legalized sport of Bare Knuckle Boxing.
Last month Wyoming became the first state where the athletic commission legalized Bare Knuckle Boxing to be a mainstream sport alongside gloved boxing and mixed martial arts.
For years there has been a lot of interest in what a fighter like McGregor could do in the purest form of fisticuffs, but until the sport became legalized, it was simply speculation.
But with McGregor?s exciting fight style coupled with his natural ability to draw attention to himself, he may contain the ingredients of piquing the interest of both boxing and MMA fans if he debuted on the BKB Circuit.
It?s too early to tell the reasoning behind his actions at the Barclay Center, but it would be quite the spectacle seeing him transition to a third fight sport.
