CLAVERAS FIGHTS MOLONEY IN AUSTRALIA

Filipino Richard Claveras (18W-3L-2D,15KO?s) will face WBA ranked number six unbeaten Andrew Moloney (16W-0L,10KO?s) on May 19 at the Malvern Town Hall. Australian Promoter Peter Maniatis informed philboxing that the fight will be for the WBA Oceania super flyweight belt.
?Claveras gets a shot at a WBA Oceania title, it?s a great opportunity for him. We know he has already fought for a WBC world title and will be a dangerous opponent for Andrew Moloney. I always like to support Filipino boxers, getting opportunities abroad.?, said Hall of Fame promoter Peter Maniatis who is also promoting the event with Lyndon Hosking a former Olympian Australian boxer from the Atlanta 1996 Olympics
The Malvern Town Hall show promoted by Peter Maniatis Events and HP Hosking Promotions already has a stacked card with WBA # 4Jason Moloney fighting former 2 time world champion Kohei Koto for a WBA Oceania title
Claveras fought and lost in a WBC Light Flyweight world title fight against Pedro Guevara in Mexico in 2015. Both Moloneys twins are managed by Angelo Hyder and Tony Tolj.
?The card will feature 9 bouts and 5 title bouts to shown on Fox Sports TV so we expect a sell out crowd at Malvern come fight night.? added Maniatis.
