The first four fights on the undercard of the Oscar Valdez vs Scott Quigg WBO featherweight title fight at the StubHub Center Saturday night (Sunday in Manila) ended in abbreviated fashion as the favorites all ended the proceedings in the very first round.

Bryan Lua (4-0-0, 4KOs) of Madera, CA opened the night with quick stoppage over Jesus Arevalo of Sierra Vista, AZ at 1:21 of the first round in their 4-round scheduled lightweight bout. This was followed by Mikaela Mayer (4-0-0, 3KOs) of Los Angeles, CA who had even a shorter time disposing off Maria Semertzoglou of Greece at 35 seconds of the first round sixth round lightweight bout. In the 3rd fight for the 8-round scheduled heavyweight bout, comebacking Andy Ruiz (30-1-0, 20KOs) of Imperial, CA stopped Devin Vargas (20-5-0, 8KOs) of Toledo, Ohio at 1:38 seconds of the first round. Brazilian Olympian Esquiva Falcao (20-0-0, 14KOs) then waylaid Salim Larbi (20-9-2, 7KOs) of France at 2:09 of the first round in their 10-round scheduled middleweight contest.
