NEW YORK CITY PRESS CONFERENCE QUOTES PhilBoxing.com Wed, 22 Feb 2017  NEW YORK CITY (Feb. 21, 2017) Two-division world champion Canelo ?lvarez (48-1-1, 34 KOs) and former WBC World Middleweight Champion Julio C?sar Ch?vez, Jr. (50-2-1, 32 KOs) today hosted a press conference in New York City, the second stop on their four-city press tour. The fans for both fighters came out in throngs and lined up early to get close to Canelo and Ch?vez, Jr. at the event. Canelo and Ch?vez, Jr. will meet on Cinco de Mayo weekend, Saturday, May 6 at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, produced and distributed live by HBO Pay-Per-View? beginning at 9:00 p.m. ET/6:00 p.m. PT. Below is what the fighters and their teams had to say at today's press conference: CANELO ?LVAREZ, Former Two-Division World Champion: "Every time I come to NYC, the fans show me a lot of love. Thank you for that. I want to tell everyone that I am going to prepare 100 percent for this fight and train well. This is going to be a very hard fight, a difficult fight because it will be at a new weight. You are going to see a great fight on May 6."
