WHO SHOULD MAYWEATHER FIGHT TO REACH 50-0? (REAL FAN POLL)

PhilBoxing.com

On Saturday night in Las Vegas before the Frampton-Santa Cruz rematch on the Showtime network, Floyd ?Money? Mayweather (49-0, 26KOs) announced that he is willing to come out of retirement to fight UFC MMA fighter Connor McGregor (21-3, 18KOs)*.

Mayweather will try to improve his record to 50-0 which will no doubt put him in the conversation as one of the best fighter of all time, if not the best should he prevail. For a good portion of 2016 Mayweather has proposed the McGregor fight to the public.

It seems as though this fight may actually happen because Mayweather has gone on the record to say that this is only the fight he is interested in. In order for this fight to happen one condition is Mayweather has to be guaranteed a purse of $100 million dollars. Mayweather reportedly earned $230 million dollars for fighting Manny Pacquiao in 2015 on PPV. There were reportedly 4million PPV sales at $99.00, not including the live gate, foreign TV rights, advertising, etc.

Mayweather was victorious against Pacquiao who says he fought with an injured shoulder against Mayweather. Fight fans have been hoping for a rematch ever since. Considering the revenue that Mayweather-Paqcquiao I generated, it would be a ?no brainer? to guarantee Mayweather $100 million for a rematch because a second fight would likely do just as well, if not better in PPV sales, gate, etc.

Another matchup that likely would generate big PPV numbers is Gennady ?Easy Work? Golovkin (36-0,33KOs). He is the unified middleweight champion (160lbs) who has been calling out Mayweather for a fight for some time now. He has stated he is willing to drop down to 154lbs to fight Mayweather who has referred to a fight against him as ?Easy Work?. Mayweather has held titles at 154lbs before retiring so he would not be at a disadvantage in terms of size.

Mayweather has stated that he wants to fight McGregor and ?that is the fight the fans want?. So the question is now put to hardcore Boxing fans, Occasional fight fans, and persons of interest who will be offered a comebacking Floyd Mayweather fight at a minimum of $99.00 on PPV.

Which fighter are you willing to pay $99.00 to see Floyd Mayweather fight?
