MINNEAPOLIS - Even though he wasn't feeling well, Karl-Anthony Towns had enough energy to lift the Minnesota Timberwolves over the Brooklyn Nets, 129-109, at the Target Center.
Towns produced another double-double (37 points and 13 rebounds).
"Today was a long day for me, I'm glad it ended well, was real close to getting a DNP tonight" said Towns during post game interview.
The Wolves starters also finished in double figures in points as Andrew Wiggins made 23 points, Zach LaVine 20, Ricky Rubio 14 and Gorgui Dieng 12. Shabazz Muhammad shared in 18 puntos off the bench.
Brook Lopez led the losing Nets with 25 points. Sean Kilpatrick 14, Spencer Dinwiddie 13, Cris Levert 11, Bojan Bogdanovic and Isaiah Whitehead had 10 apiece.
Nets guard Jeremy Lin did not play against the Timberwolves due to his injury.
Overtime
Timberwolves (18-29) stays home and will host the Orlando Magic (18-30) on Monday night (Tuesday morning Manila time).
While the Nets (9-38] will travel to Miami to face the Heat (18-30) on the same night. (Daniel Quindao Guden-USA Correspondent)
