WNBA Finals -- Sparks move 1 win away from title

MINNEAPOLIS -- The twin towers of proved too much for Minnesota as the L.A. Sparks moved to within a win of capturing this year's championship following a 92-75 victory on Friday night at the Galen Center in the campus of the University of Southern California (USC).
In front of a boisterous home crowd of 8,093 fans, Candance Parker finished with 24 points and 9 rebounds while reigning league MVP Nneka Ogwumike pumped in 21 points and 9 boards. With a 2-1 lead in this best-of-6 series, the Sparks go for their franchise's third title on Sunday at the Galen Center.
Essence Carson added 16 for Los Angeles while Game 1 hero Alana Beard had 16 Kristi Toliver settled for 6.
The defending champion Lynx got 14 each from Sylvua Fowles and Rebekkah Brunson. Seimone Augustus managed just 11 points while 9 rebounds.
"Obviously we can't respond the way we did in the first quarter for any more time in this series because they're extremely good at converting those turnovers into points," Lynx stalwart Maya Moore said.
