NBA -- An awesome treat for hoops fans in Vancouver (PHOTOS)

VANCOUVER -- Vancouverites filled the Rogers Arena with enthusiasm last Saturday afternoon when the NBA showcased the bejeweled Golden State Warriors against the Toronto Raptors in a highly-charged pre-season game.
This one didn't disappoint, a 97-93 squeaker that went the Raptors' way.
DeMarre Carroll led the way with 14 points and 4 rebounds while All-Stars Kyle Lowry and DeMar DeRozan combined for 17. Toronto made 37 of 86 field goals and 17 of 29 from the free throw stripe. The Raptors also dominated the boards, 58-42.
Klay Thompson was the main man for the Warriors with 11 while his backcourt mate, NBA MVP Steph Curry finished with a quiet 8 points after making just 2-for-6 from the field and 1-for-5 from long distance.
"It was an awesome atmosphere," Curry said of the reception from the crowd of 19,000 fans who flooded the arena. "It's really cool to start our preseason schedule."
