Fans came in droves during the 'Philippines vs Mexico' Sunday mall tour at the Seafood City in Cerritos, CA to see Filipino protagonists Donnie 'Ahas' Nietes, Mark 'Magnifico' Magsayo and 'King' Arthur Villanueva who will face Mexican opponents in ALA Promotions/ABS-CBN/TFC boxing event on Sep. 24 at the StubHub Center.
The trio pressed hands and pose for photos with fans three weeks into the highly anticipated event. Nietes, the longest reigning Filipino world champion in history who dropped his junior flyweight belt to venture in the flyweight division, will face former world champion Edgar Sosa for the WBO Inter-continental flyweight belt while Magsayo will defend his WBO International featherweight title against Ruben Garcia on the main undercard. Former world title challenger Arthur Villanueva defends his WBO Asia Pacific bantamweight title against Juan Jiminez in a rematch.
