Loreto will now face a young but very promising Junuel ?Artroboy? Lacar in the main event of ?The Road to Glory? boxing promotion set today at 2 p.m. at the Makati Square Fitness Arena in Makati City. Loreto, a former IBO world light flyweight champion was originally scheduled to fight Powell ?Destroyer? Balaba, who was not allowed by the Games and Amusement Board since he is still serving six more days of suspension for losing by a technical knockout in his last fight. Loreto (22W-13L-0D-14 Kos) a native of Calinan, Davao City is now managed by veteran international promoter-manager Naris Singwancha of Thailand. Lacar, a native of General Santos City has a record of 7W-2L-3D and is now under the Highland Boxing Stable in La Trinidad, Benguet. Loreto and Lacar had already sparred against each other. ?This will be a great match-up since both fighters are sluggers. Bakbakan pa rin ito,? said promoter Brico Santig of Highland Promotions. Both fighters vowed to give fans a good show, which will also be attended by newly-appointed GAB Chairman Abraham Khalil ?Baham? Both of them also submitted 160 lbs. ?I want to win by KO again to earn a possible (6W-4L-0D-4 Kos) title-shot,? said Singh. Undefeated Ralph Jhon ?Bomber? Lulu (10W-0L-2D-5KO) of Bulacan also puts his unblemished record at stake against Junjie Lauza (4W-16L-2D) of Cavite in 8-rounder bout. Another exciting fight will feature comebacking Japanese fighter Daishi Yoshikawa of Yamaguchi Stable-Osaka, Japan against.
