2016 NBA Finals -- LeBron dumps 41 on Warriors; Cavs force Game 7
By Rex Alba PhilBoxing.com Sat, 18 Jun 2016

CLEVELAND -- The 2016 NBA Finals will require a Game 7 to determine a winner.
LeBron James made that possible on Thursday night, filling the box scores with 41 points, 11 assists, 8 rebounds, 4 steals and 3 blocked shots to lead the Cleveland Cavaliers to a 115-101 Game victory at the Quicken Loans Arena.
Kyrie Irving pitched in 23 points while J.R. Smith added 14 while Tristan Thompson had an energetic 15 points and 16 rebounds for Cleveland, which evened the championship series at 3-3. The Cavs are attempting to become the first team in NBA Finals history to overcome a 3-1 deficit.
They will have a bite at that apple on Sunday night (Monday AM in Manila) when Game 7 unreels at the Oracle Arena, home of the Warriors.
The Cavs played like a team that didn't want to go on vacation just yet, jumping early to 31-11 first quarter start. Although they watched their 24-point lead diminish to 8 early in the fourth quarter, the Cavs were never seriously threatened, thanks to a high 51.9 percent (40 of 79) from the field.
Steph Curry went 6-of-13 from long distance to finish with 30 but the reigning MVP had only one assist against four turnovers. Curry also had six fouls and was ejected after repeatedly cursing at officials and throwing his mouthpiece which struck a fan sitting on front row.
Klay Thompson had 25 for Golden State but it wasn't enough as the Warriors shot just 40.2 percent from the field and 38.5 percent from 3-point range.
