Uprising Promotions LIVE TONIGHT on GFL.TV PhilBoxing.com Sat, 30 Jan 2016 2 title fights headline 8 bout card Long Island, NY (January 29, 2016) - TONIGHT from the 5 Star Banquet Hall, Uprising Promotions presents an 8 bout that will be headlined by two title bouts, In the main event, Alicia Napoleon (4-0, 2 KO's) will take on Szilvia Szabados (10-4, 3 KO's) in a 10-round battle for the WBC Silver Women's Middleweight title. Napolean is a very popular fighter in the New York area and she will be taking on her most experienced foe in Szabados, who has twice fought for titles before. In the co-feature, Zhankhozh Turarov (17-0, 12 KO 's) of Pahokee, Florida taking on Joaquim Carneiro (22-6, 20 KO's) of Sao Paulo, Brazil in a 12-round bout for the NBA Welterweight championship. Turarov is an up and coming fighter, who won the WBA Fedecento Super Lightweight title with a 5th round stoppage over Abraham Peralta. Carneiro is a knockout artist, who is on a 9-fight win streak and has a first round knockout over an undefeated fighter in Jose Luis Galeano. The undercard has a litany of up and coming prospects: In an 8-round Welterweight bout, Mikkel LesPierre (11-0, 4 KO's) of New York, NY will take on upset minded Malik Jackson (3-6-4, 2 KO's) of Newark, NJ. In 4-round Bouts: Stephen Frank of New York will make his pro debut against Marlon Farr (4-11) of Zephyrhills, Florida in a Light Heavyweight bout. Maxito Sainvil (2-0-1, 1 KO) of New York battles pro debuting Malik Joe in a Welterweight bout. Kimberly Tomes (2-6, 2 KO's) of New York will take on pro debuting Natalie Gonzalez in a female Super Flyweight bout. Daniel Castro of New York will make his pro debut against Phillip LeGrand (0-1) in a Middleweight bout. Also scheduled to appear is Jose Gonzalez, who will make his pro debut in a Featherweight bout.
