BOXING GIVES WAY TO MMA ON ?THE MAIN EVENT? OVER PINOY BOX OFFICE ON SKY CABLE

The series of fights on the Underground Battle Mixed Martial Arts of the World Series of Fighting in the ?Foreign Invasion? series which took place at the ?Circuit? venue of Ayala Land in Santa Ana will be telecast over the next couple of weeks instead of boxing? ?The Main Event? over Pinoy Box Office on Sky Cable beginning Saturday, January 30.
Three inaugural title fights in the bantamweight, featherweight and middleweight divisions featuring two top class fighters from Pakistan and an unbeaten American will go up against Filipino challengers in the telecast at 8:30 p.m. on Saturday with a replay at 10:30 a.m. on Sunday.
In the main event Brad Robinson of Oklahoma who fights out of Singapore will clash with Mark Palomar in a middleweight encounter while Pakistan?s Uloomi Karim of the Fight Fortress in Islamabad takes on Michael Mondragon of Catalan Fighting while in a featherweight battle Ahmad Mujtaba also from the Fight Fortress battles Rodian Menchaves of Catalan Fighting.
A crowd of MMA enthusiasts watched the fights well past midnight showing the growing interest in Mixed Martial Arts.
It was Viva Sports initial venture in partnership with the founder and CEO of UGB-MMA Ferdie Munsayac and the World Series of Fighting.
