BLOW BY BLOW: Libranza, Arizala make weight

PhilBoxing.com

UNDEFEATED Genesis Libranza of MP Davao Stable and his opponent Renerio ?Amazing? Arizala of Manila both made their weights today (Dec. 18) for their 10-rounder fight slated tomorrow at the Panabo Gym in Panabo City.

Libranza tipped the scales at 110 pounds only while Arizala submitted 113 lbs.

?It's okay because their catch weight is 112 lbs.,? said Games and Amusements Board (GAB) Davao officer-in-charge Arlene Olondriz at the weigh-in held at the Royal Mandaya Hotel.

Libranza, 22, (8-0-0) said that he has gained experience from his previous fight wherein he completed the whole 10-rounds and won it by a unanimous decision against Michael Rodriguez last September 6 in Labangal, General Santos City.

?Nabag-ohan lang ko ato kay nahuman dyud ug rounds,? said Libranza, who fought his first 10 rounds.

Arizala is only 21 years old but has more experience than Libranza.

Arizala, a native of Masbate, already has 13 wins against only two loses and on draw. He won his last fight via a technical decision against Romnick Magos last July 31 at the Cuneta Astrodome in Pasay City.
Arizala has won the vacant LuzProba flyweight title by a unanimous decision against JC Francisco on May 25, 2014 in Rizal.

?Pero malaki ang respeto ko kay Libranza bilang isang boksingero. Gagawin ko na lang ang lahat sa itaas ng ring,? said Arizala.

The fight is the main event in the second staging of Blow by Blow Reloaded of 8-time division world champion Manny Pacquiao.
Also seeing action tomorrow starting at 5 p.m. are Agusan del Sur's Ryan Rey Ponteras against Margarita Moya of Cebu City and Orly Silvestre of MP Boxing Club against Joey Canoy of Cebu City.

Ponteras, who was supposed to fight in the inaugural edition of Blow by Blow in Gensan, tipped at 112 lbs. while Moya was scaled at 116 lbs. In GAB Cebu office.

?Bukas pa kasi ang flight nila from Cebu,? said Olondriz.

Blow by Blow Reloaded promoter Lito Mondejar said the bouts I have been carefully matched to ensure exciting encounters.

?Bawal dito sa Blow by Blow ang pumipili ng kalaban,? said co-promoter and former Cotabato Gov. Manny Pinol.

"Blow By Blow" is the same program that produced 8-division world champion Manny Pacquiao.

Blow by Blow Reloaded" fights will be aired over TV5 Sports at 2 p.m. every Sunday.
The monthly event is sponsored by Black Mamba Energy Drink. The Panabo fights will start at 6 p.m. ? LITO DELOS REYES
