Puerto Rican Amateur star Edgar Berlenga of New York inks with Probox Management PhilBoxing.com Sat, 05 Dec 2015 Joins red hot stable. I am happy to have signed with Probox Management. I feel comfortable making this move in my career. Mr. Henry Rivalta and Gary Jonas of Probox have the experience to guide me in the right path. Erickson Lubin told me they treat him like family and I see that. I can?t wait to showcase my talent in the pro circuit. Berlenga 18 yrs old had a total of 162 amateur fights and boxes by way of Brooklyn. He trains out of Worldwide Boxing gym in the Bronx and is headed by father Edgar Berlenga Sr. and now Marc Farait. Today was special because POPS the original owner of worldwide gym who?s also was Marc Farait father marked 5 yrs since he passed away. The sadness turns to joy for Farait as he was happy to see new pupil Edgar Berlenga finally on his way. Berlenga is expected to make a lot of noise as he joins res hot rising PROBOX stable mates in Erickson Lubin, Dennis Galarza, Aujee Tyler, Jose Miguel Borrego and highly touted Josue Vargas all whom he knows for years coming up thru the amateur ranks. Hammer, Dennis, Quick, Josue they are all my boys. I?m delighted to be part of my new boxing family. I want to thank Richard Roman, Marc Farait and my dad who has been so very instrumental in my life said Berlenga. Edgar is going to be a superstar said Henry Rivalta managing partner of Probox. He is a great little fighter. He's young, fast, and powerful and has been blessed with the tools to be a success in this business. He?s from Puerto Rico where the world?s best fans are. Cotto, Felix Trinidad was names to be remembered we are hoping Edgar can someday reach those heights. At 160 Edgar who stands at 6'2 will be very dangerous. Probox is happy to add Berlenga to our roster and we will be announcing some new signees in the next few days.  |
