TYSON FURY READY TO BEAT THE ODDS, PROMISES TO PUT KLITSCHKO TO SLEEP IN THE 6TH ROUND

PhilBoxing.com

Undefeated British heavyweight Tyson Fury is ready to beat the odds and has promised to put world heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko of Ukraine who holds the WBO, WBA and IBF titles to sleep in the sixth round.

Fury has done most of the talking leading up to his heavyweight battle with Klitschko in Dusseldorf, Germany on Sunday morning Manila Time in a fight to be telecast in the Philippines by Fox Sports.

Sky Sports in Britain said the 27 year old Fury insists he will succeed where 19 others before him have failed. It is a tall order for the 6ft 9in challenger but he believes he is just one win away from achieving his destiny.

Fury said "Ths is finally the start of championship boxing for me. I'm so happy and privileged to be involved in this and God has blessed me to put me in this position, to be fighting for the world heavyweight championship, as the mandatory challenger. From a young age, when I started boxing, I believed I would become world champion. I believed it all the way through and against odds of seven billion to one, I've made it.?

He said "If I can make it then I'm living proof to anybody who thinks they can't do something in life that if you want it badly enough, and tick with it and be dedicated, then you can make it in life.?

"All being well on Saturday it's definitely going to be the icing on the cake for this stage of my career and then we will move onto another level."

Fury has stated the bout will be an easy win for him but has also heaped praise on the 39-year-old champion saying "I've got a lot of respect for the man. He's done a lot in boxing and he's been at the highest level for a long time and has made so many successful title defenses's achieved a lot and he's done something I haven't - he's won a world title and defended it. He can hold onto that glory train but as long as I come out of it being the driver and the captain then it's a different story."

Fury told Sky Sports "The difference between me and the previous challengers Klitschko has beaten in a row is that none of them were like me. They were pretty much all 6ft 1in, 6ft 2in heavyweights just coming forward looking to land power shots. They were average heavyweights. Klitschko has never fought anyone like me; a 6ft 9in switch-hitter who is as unorthodox as two left feet on a clown facing backwards."
