Alex "El Pollo" De Jesus joins G&A Boxing Promotions
PhilBoxing.com Tue, 24 Nov 2015
Javier Arce and Armando Garcia, representatives of G&A Boxing Promotions, just informed Boxingscene.com that the Puerto Rican welterweight Alex "El Pollo" De Jesus 21-1-0 (13 KOs), joined their company this week.
Garcia and Arce, both from G&A Boxing Promotions, told us that De Jesus was scheduled to appear on Nov-25 at the Haileah Park event where Cuban boxer Erislandy Lara faces Slovenian Jan Zevack.
However, at the last minute, due to personal problems, De Jesus was removed from that fight and waits for a possible opportunity in December or January.
"We think Alex has the chance to achieve his goals and we will try to put on an event before the end of 2015. De Jesus is a strong fighter and we have big plans for his immediate future," said Arce.
"There was a slight problem presented to him in the days leading up to his fight and we pulled him out from this fight. We decide not to put pressure on his performance. I think Alex is now well focused and we must support him. When the situation returns to normal we will push Alex to fight against the best opposition and we are confident that he will achieve another victory? Garcia said.
In De Jesus?s last fight, coming from an involuntary retirement after nearly four years, due to legal problems, he defeated Javier Garc?a last Febuary by UD in 6 rounds. Now, a firmer and 100% motivated Alex hopes to return to the ring with another victory.
