MARTINEZ-SALIDO ENDS IN SPLIT DRAW

MGM GRAND GARDEN ARENA -- Orlando Salido of Mexico (42-13-3, 29KO) and Roman Martinez of Puerto Rico (28-2-3, 17KO) exchanged knockdowns in round 1 and proceeded to show a fight that many think will be better than tonight's main event between Floyd Mayweather Jr vs Andre Berto. The fight ended in a split draw as Martinez retained his WBO super featherweight title. Judges scores were 115-113, 113-115 and 114-114 for a split draw and a possible trilogy in the offing.
