Dela Torre to fight in US Oct 23 By Lito delos Reyes PhilBoxing.com Thu, 10 Sep 2015  WORLD Boxing Federation (WBF) world super featherweight champion Harmonito ?Hammer? dela Torre of General Santos City will fight in the United States on October 23 at the Show Box Card. ?But his opponent will still be named soon,? said Dela Torres? manager Jim Claude Manangquil of Sanman Promotions during an interview Sept. 7 in General Santos City. The fight will be promoted by Show Box Card and Greg Cohen Promotions in coordination with the Fight Card Promotion of Adam Wilcock. It could be Dela Torres? biggest and most challenging fight of his career. ?Baka Black American ang makakalaban niya,? said the 21-year old Manangquil, probably the world?s youngest boxing manager-promoter today. ?Maningkamot lang ko ug mag hard training,? said the undefeated Dela Torre (16 wins, 11 knockouts). The 5-foot-5 Dela Torre previously won by a 4th round knockout against Eusebio Baluarte last June 7 at the Robinson?s Mall Atrium in Gensan. Dela Torre, a native of Cagayan de Oro, captured the WBF world crown by also knocking out Isack Junior of Indonesia in the 4th round last Sept. 13, 204 at the Lagao Gym in Gensan. Dela Torre retired Galdwin Tubigon in the 3rd round of their scheduled 12-rounder title bout for the vacant WBF International super featherweight crown last May 3, 2014 at the Waterfront Hotel and Casino in Cebu City. Dela Torre also captured the Philippine Boxing Federation (PBF) super featherweight title via a unanimous decision against Richard Olisa at the Talong Bayani covered court in Mandaluyong on Sept. 6, 2013. ?
