A raucous crowd showed up last night at the Calbayog City Sports Complex to witness "Sweet Science" at it's finest as ABF featherweight champion Neil John Tabanao scored a fifth-round TKO against ring veteran Marvin Tampus in a 10-round non-title bout. With the win, Tabanao NJ Singwangcha of Flores Boxing Academy raised his impressive resume to 12-1 with 8 stoppages while former PABA champion Marvin Tampus plunges to 27-21-3 (18 KO's).
In other bouts, Rambo Lagos of Valencia, Bukidnon stops JR Salvador of Mandaue City, Margarito Moya (Moya M Singwangcha) scores a unanimous decision after 8 rounds against Renan Portes, Arnel Coactoy wins via unanimous decision versus Edwin Mondala of Bato, Leyte, Edison Serrano of Phil-Aust boxing club stops Arnel Acebuque of Bukidnon and Sempai Flores TKO's Jomar Blanco in the second round.
