ALBERT PAGARA TO TRAIN IN THE UNITED STATES
By Maloney L. Samaco PhilBoxing.com Mon, 13 Jul 2015

International Boxing Federation intercontinental superbantamweight champion Prince Albert Pagara will depart to the United States to train intensively for his title defense.
The undefeated ALA fighter is scheduled to travel on July 15. This is in preparation for his mandatory defense against Mexican Jesus "Chito" Rios on August 7 at the World Trade Center in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
The 30-year old Rios is the No. 1 IBF intercontinental superbantamweight contender. He is considered to be a dangerous opponent because of his 63% knockout rate. The Sinaloa, Mexico native has 25 KOs in 31 wins with 7 losses and 1 draw.
ALA Gym in the United States is in San Diego, California. The location is very accessible to Mexican boxers, considered as warriors in fistfighting because it near the US-Mexican borfer. It makes the famous Cebu boxing gym internationally known aside from promoting fights abroad like Dubai and Macau.
Pagara is expected to spar with tough Latino and American boxers to hone up his skills to a higher level. It was planned two years ago to send the Pagara brothers to the US, but the younger Pagara will be going ahead.
"I am excited to train in the US to prepare for my Dubai fight," said the Maasin City-born Prince of Philippine Boxing. "I will dedicate my success to all kababayans."
Albert Pagara is rated No. 9 by the Ring Magazine and No. 7 by the IBF in its world jr. featherweight/superbantamweight rankings.
Filipinos in Dubai are eager to see the Pagara brothers display their skills against Mexican foes at the World Trade Center in this desert emirate known for its very modern and well designed buildings.
