Mayweather Loses Straw Vote, Booed Anew in Atlanta NBA Eastern Finals Game
By Winchell Campos PhilBoxing.com Thu, 21 May 2015

ATLANTA, GA--Floyd "Money" Mayweather just can't buy everything, including respect and public opinion despite his fame and fortune.
Mayweather, the highest-paid athlete in the world, lost in a straw vote and was booed anew by a neutral crowd of basketball fans here, not necessarily boxing experts when the Atlanta Hawks hosted the Cleveland Cavaliers on Wednesday night.
In one of the sidelight surveys conducted on a select nine-member Atlanta Hawks roster played in one of the lulls to fill in the gap of regular timeouts, the photo question was posted: Floyd Mayweather or Mike Tyson? Tyson, the former undisputed heavyweight champion many years back, got five votes.
Mayweather, who thinks of himself as The Best Ever or "TBE," received four.
Whether it be at the Staples Center in Los Angeles or at the home of the Golden State Warriors, Mayweather has reportedly been receiving the same unsavory welcome whenever his picture is flashed on screen. This time around, the welcome was the same.
During the opening match of the Eastern Conference finals, Mayweather was booed, even without Manny Pacquiao's name being in the mix. Despite the majority of hecklers, there were a few who appreciated Mayweather's presence.
Mayweather gamely flashed his million-dollar smile after his face was shown on the giant screen. After the game, his burly bodyguards ably shielded him from any other untoward incident.
