He said he is confident that Marvin would make the weight in time for the official weigh-in.
Sonsona who spent ten days training at the gym of Nonito ?Dodong? Donaire Sr in Oakland, California before proceeding to New York sparred once.
Yraola told us that ?Marvin is okay. He didn?t suffer any injuries during training in his Mindanao Avenue Gym and that he had ?some good training? in Donaire Sr?s gym in California.
The manager said they had to ?manage Marvin?s food intake in the US and were forced to control his diet? so he could make weight. He praised Sonsona who lost two pounds a day for the past two days ?for cooperating with us on his food intake.?
Sonsona and Vazquez will be presented in a press-public preview at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday (Friday in Manila).
