JARO VS ANACAYA IN MANDALUYONG, SINGWANGCHA TO GIVE AID TO BOXERS HIT BY YOLANDA

Former WBC world flyweight champion Sonny Boy Jaro will mix it up with Pit Anacaya in a ten rounder on January 11 at the Namayan Basketball Arena in Mandaluyong City for the vacant Asian Boxing Federation (ABF) junior bantamweight title. Sonny Boy will enter the ring as Jaro Sonny Boy Singwangcha to honor his sponsor and Thai boxing patron Naris Singwangcha who will be on hand to give aid to boxers who were affected by Typhoon Yolanda.

Jaro Promotions International informed philboxing that Singwangcha, together with the members of the ABF or Asian Boxing Federation and the Team Singwangcha Foundation will be arriving Thursday January 9.

Promoter Aljoe Jaro also informed that this card will benefit boxers from typhoon affected areas in Samar, Leyte, Ilo-ilo and Cebu. The said boxers can travel to the venue for free and they will receive financial assistance from the Singwangcha Foundation.

The fights will start at 5PM and will also feature another former world champion, Florante Condes who will fight Rey Morano. Jaro feels that Condes still has what it takes to return to championship form.

Also featured in the card is Jomar Fajardo Singwangcha, who will be pitted against Robel Villegas for the vacant ABF jr.flyweight title.

Lionel Legada Singwangcha will face Rowell Rosia plus nine more undercard matches.

Aljoe Jaro, who is the newly appointed coordinator for the ABF, praised Singwangcha?s generosity and his continuing support for Filipino boxers.
