5th BOUT: CANO BEATS THEOPANE BY SPLIT DECISION

LAS VEGAS -- Pablo Cesar Cano (R) (27-3-1, 20KO) of Mexico won by split decision over Ashley Theophane (33-6-1, 10KO) of Las Vegas, NV in their 10-round welterweight bout. Judge Richard Houck had it 97-93 for Cano; Judge Patricia Morse Jarman had it 98-92, also for Cano while the third judge, Richard Ocasio, had it 96-94 for Theophane.
