Philippine superflyweight champion Marco Demecillo of the RWS Gym returned to his winning ways with a unanimous decision win over Giovanni Escaner of Para?aque City in their fight held last Saturday in Dipolog City.
Demecillo (19-1-1, 14 KO?s), a.k.a. Marco Singwangcha, retained his title and gave Escaner (10-1, 6 KO?s) his first career loss. The scores after 12 rounds ? Judge A. Manatad ? 116-114, M. Artes ? 117-116 and A. Ageas ? 115-113.
RWS gym matchmaker Willy Flores relayed the result to philboxing. This win enabled Marco to bounce back from his first career loss by unanimous decision to OPBF superflyweight champion Arthur Villanueva in Davao City last April.
For the undercard matches ? Melmark Dignos beat Bryan Capangpangan by unanimous decision (40-37,39-37 and 40-38), Carlo Demecillo won by TKO 3rd round against Juanito Tumugsok (Tine 2:56), Kenny Demecillo beat Edward Camion by TKO in the 6th and final round (Time ? 2:16), Anthony Sabalde beat Jeffrey Jimenez by second round knockout (Time ? 1:51), Gadwin Tubigon won by unanimous decision over Doriel Ramos (99-91, 98-92,100-93).
