MANCIO RETAINS PHIL. LIGHT FLYWEIGHT TITLE

Jerson Mancio of the ALA gym retained the Philippine light flyweight title by TKO in the fifth round against Robel Villegas of the Elorde Stable in a fight held Saturday night.

The result was relayed by ALA Gym trainer Edito Villamor who stated that Villegas went down in rounds two and five before turning his back as Mancio was set to follow up on his attack.

This fight was held in Paranaque City.

Mancio goes up to 17W-3L-3D, 8 KO's while Villegas drops to 9W-7L, 3 KO?s. Mancio won the title in 2011 by unanimous decision over Jason Canoy in San Remigio, Cebu.
