WBC Asia Council superflyweight champion Rex Tso (8W-0L, 5 KO?s) of Hong Kong is training in the Jaro Boxing Gym to prepare for his first title defense against Thai veteran Wandee Singwangcha (67W-16L-1D, 18 KOs).

Promoter Aljoe Jaro informed philboxing that Tso has spent almost a month at his gym.

?Tso has benefited from sparring against former WBC flyweight champion Sonny Boy Jaro, IBF Asia Pacific flyweight champion Ryan Rey Ponteras and Edrin Dapudong, a former WBC silver champion.? Jaro said. ?He will be returning to Hong Kong on the 15th to continue light training and for his TV promotional appearances.?

Hong Kong promoter Jay Lau of DEF Promotions will promote this event billed as ?WBC Night of Champions? on May 28 at Hall 3D of Convention Towers and Exhibition Center in Hong Kong.

Wandee has held the interim WBC minimumweight and light flyweight world titles, WBC International light flyweight title. Tso stopped Kyrgyzstan fighter Timur Shailezov in ten rounds for his first regional title.
