An hour ago, both Randy 'Komong Bato' Suico and Thailand's Pongpetch Chuwatana made weight in contrasting fashion at the official weigh-in inside the GAB-Cebu office for their OPBF lightweight battle tomorrow in Mandaue City.
GAB Boxing Division chief Nasser Cruz supervised the weighed in, assisted by GAB-7's Celso Miranda and Rolando Mendoza.
Suico came in at a perfect 135 lbs, while the 23-year-old Chuwatana had to shed off two pounds and came back an hour later to hit the mark.
RP superfly champ Eden Sonsona came in at 113.5, while challenger Jerope Mercado checked in at an exact 115 lbs for their titular duel in the undercard.
Japan's boxing guru Joe Koizumi, who manages Suico, was also in attendance, accompanied by mega-trainer Juanito Ablaca, as well as boxing personalities Moy Lainez, Gerry Garcia, and Aljoe Jaro.
