CEBU - Jerson Mancio of the ALA Gym is set to defend of his Philippine light flyweight title this Sunday May 20 against Charlie Cabilla of Bukidnon at the Mandaue City Plaza Square. Mancio (14W-3L-3D, 5 KO's) weighed in at 108 lbs while Cabilla (12W-9L-4D, 2 KO's) weighed 107 lbs during the official weigh-in held at the GAB-Cebu office Saturday noon.
This will be the first defense of the title Mancio won last year in San Remigio, Cebu by unanimous decision against Jason Canoy of the Omega gym. Canoy will be fighting in the undercard against another ALA prospect, Welbeth Loberanis in a non-title contest. Canoy weighed in at 111 3/4 lbs while Loberanis stepped in at 113 lbs.
The other undercard match-ups will feature Jimmy Paypa (123 lbs) vs Albert Villacampa (118 lbs) , Zaldy Aroa (122.5 lbs) vs Gilbert Garciano (122.5 lbs), Pedro Balaba (117.5 lbs) vs Julie Agrabio (115.75 lbs) and Sherwin Paro (113 lbs) vs Ricky Nunez (111.5 lbs).
The weigh-in was supervised by Glen Agena of GAB-Cebu. This free to the public event is presented by ALA Promotions, Cobra Energy Drink with the cooperation of the Mandaue City Govt. and Sports Commission. Fights start at 7 PM.
